Hedges Co. report shows digital marketing continues to fuel auto parts industry sales

Hedges Co. has published its annual automotive industry analysis, showing digital influence plays a significant role in auto parts industry sales growth.

The report projects that more than $148 billion in auto parts and accessory sales in the country will be generated by digital leads this year.

“Nearly all consumers do online research along their road to purchase,” the annual report said. "About nine out of 10 consumers now do some form of research online before they purchase an auto part or accessory. This happens whether they eventually buy at a brick and mortar retailer, or buy online 

The full-service automotive digital marketing agency’s report also shows that mobile phone transactions will account for $7.5 billion in the U.S. in 2019, nearly a 30 percent increase from 2018 when mobile almost hit $6 billion. At present, most parts and accessory websites acquire more than 60 percent of traffic on mobile devices.
