Chevrolet has included a 2.7L Turbo Engine with Active Fuel Management in its all-new Silverado powertrain options. It joins the powerful 6.2L V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management, 5.3L V8, 4.3L V6, and the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel.

This new option brings 310 horsepower, 348 lb.-ft. of torque, an 8-speed automatic transmission and auto stop/start technology, allowing drivers to save on fuel as the system turns off the engine when the vehicle is immobile.

With its addition, and standard in two trim levels - the LT and RST, the 2.7L turbo engine gives more options to determine what type of power is generated.
