Zurich North America continues its service advisor sales training seminars for auto dealers across the U.S.

Zurich North America is continuing its sales training seminars and offering new resources to U.S. auto dealers with the addition of its service advisor training resources.

Zurich, one of the largest providers of finance and insurance products and consultative training for auto dealerships in the U.S., is offering the full-day seminars and one-on-one sessions in-store or via Skype to franchise auto dealers.

Online access to training service advisor modules are offered for Zurich's customers enrolled in its training program, according to the company.

“We are very excited to expand into the service advisor training arena,” Vince Santivasi, Zurich's head of Direct Markets for North America, said in a statement. “The advisor plays a vital role within an auto dealership, and Zurich has recognized a growing demand for consistent service training among our customers.”

The company is working with Steve Shaw, an author, professional speaker and service advisor training expert who has trained thousands of automotive industry personnel for more than two decades. The collaboration will offer service advisors a consistent process and the necessary tools to help dealerships maximize their profits in the service lane, Santivasi said.

“Dealerships that have fully implemented my training and selling system have seen a typical increase of 0.2 to 0.5 labor hours per repair order,” Shaw said.

Seminar training topics include "why customers buy," a look at the features, benefits and value of an auto dealership service.

Presenting a multi-point inspection and maintenance menus to customers is also part of the seminar training, as well as obtaining great CSI and online reviews including customer shop communication, CSI words and social media reviews. The course involves lectures, workbooks, a practice session with role-playing and group discussions.
