There are some things that are beyond our control. At one moment, you are simply driving down the road. The next thing you know, you may find yourself and your car in a total wreck due to an accident. Unfortunately, no matter how careful you are on the road, you’ll never know what will happen next.

At Kiefer Kia, we care about your safety especially when you’re on the road. There are several factors that can hinder you from driving effectively. To avoid these, one should be aware of these factors and ways to minimize, if not to totally avoid, these disasters waiting to happen.

For one, it’s normal to get hungry especially on long drives. Go ahead, eat some donuts or something -- but not while driving! Eating while driving is like texting while driving -- it’s simply dangerous. Any activity that can affect your focus on the road can spell danger for you and your passengers, and that includes eating.

With that said, pull over if you’re hungry. It won’t take much of your time especially when you’re so hungry you can finish a quick meal in just minutes. After munching on that food, then you can go on with your driving. This also applies when you are texting, calling or putting on makeup. However, if you’re not in a rush, skip the drive-thru and eat inside the restaurant instead.
