Trevor Gile likes to joke that it was his "P.H.D." that got him in the door and on the right track to senior management at Motorcars Honda.

“It was my P.H.D. -- my Pop Had a Dealership,” Gile, now the general manager of the family business, told Mega Dealer News. “I started working with my father when he was in the process of buying the dealership.”

Just over 15 years for him and thousands of vehicles sold and serviced by the company later, Gile now stands as the general manager of the Cleveland Heights new and used car dealership, while his brother runs the family’s Toyota dealership.

“I started in 2001 and the dealership has been around since 1971,” he said. “We also own a marketing company, software company, Allstate agency and multiple car washes.”

But all of it has its roots in Motorcars Honda -- the quaint but growing dealership still run by his father -- that now counts somewhere in the neighborhood of 275 employees on its payroll.

“We still have a handful of employees who started out with my father in 1991,” Gile said. “With our extended hours, we’ve seen volume increases in our services.”

Open Monday through Thursdays until 3 a.m., the company primarily serves the Cleveland, Akron and Euclid area. He embraces the motto, “Customers for life only just begins with the purchase or lease of a new Honda and truly doesn’t ever end.”

With a colossal supply of new and used models at hand, Motorcars Honda prides itself on always having the just the vehicle to fit its customers' needs and desires.

“We'll customize a shopping plan that takes into account all your auto requirements and will introduce you to a number of competitively priced options,” the company proudly notes on its website.
