The newest version of the Ram 1500 truck is 225 pounds lighter than the previous model, despite increases in length and width.

Steve Landers Auto Group said the 2019 Ram is equipped with a 99 percent high-strength steel frame as well as an aluminum hood and tailgate. The truck’s headlights come in two different designs, including LED units, while the tailights offer halogen and LED versions.

The steel rear bumper is available in chrome and in 12 body colors and the wheels come in 16 designs ranging from 18 to 22 inches.

The 2019 Ram’s interior includes a reconfigurable center console; an option for a 12-inch infotainment screen; storage systems placed throughout the vehicle; and interior background noise dampening to support conversations.

The truck has a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds and a towing capacity of 12,750 pounds.

An off-road version of the vehicle called the Ram Rebel provides 2 inches of lift for extra ground clearance; 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires; and a new ELocker Electronic Locking Rear Differential.

The 2019 Ram offers 100 safety and security features, such as blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, surround view camera option and guided parking.
