Wyoming now has license plates with Green River Lake and Squaretop Mountain designs and more options for vanity plates, according to Fremont Motors.

The county number will be standard on the license plate, as well as a T for truck or a C for commercial vehicle, when applicable. Combinations of up to five characters, including spaces, are allowed on vanity plates. There are some restrictions, however. No obscene or hateful language can be used, nor can there be three Ws or Ms in a row. Plates with numbers only are not allowed, unless the first number is 0. Otherwise, most choices are allowed unless someone already picked that combination of characters.

Vanity plates offer your choice of combined letters and numbers. In addition to the fees for sales tax and other expenses at the DMV, the vanity plate costs $30. Embossed plates cost an additional $50.

More information is available from your county clerk's office. You can also check if your chosen character combination is available by visiting the DMV website at https://jweb.dot.state.wy.us/SpecialtyPlates/faces/ searchPrestige.jsp. Plates can also be ordered online.
