Steve Landers Auto Group offers its pick for getaways

Steve Landers Auto Group in Arkansas has released its list of top vehicle picks for spring 2017, with many of "Big Steve’s" recommendations aimed at drivers looking for outdoor adventures now that winter is in the rearview mirror.

The group’s No. 1 pick for a spring adventure car is the 2017 Toyota 4Runner, which has the versatility to meet every possible need, the release on the auto group's website said. The 4Runner is an all-terrain SUV that has the  suspension, handling and stability control to take on tougher outdoor roads. It also features flexible storage space and an upgraded navigation system.

The 2017 Chevrolet Cruze hatchback is the second pick on the list, being the "ultimate road trip car" due to its impressive fuel economy of 30 mpg on the highway. This means more time for sight-seeing and less time spent at the gas pump. The car also features storage space to accommodate road trip needs.

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is geared mostly toward families because of its entertainment system complete with a Blu-Ray/DVD player, high-definition multimedia surfaces, setback video screens, video remote controls and wireless headphones, the release said. The minivan ensures that the kids will be occupied in the back seat.

The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 comes in as the group's fifth pick. It is  geared toward drivers going camping and hiking. It's a dependable and capable truck that can fit all camping, hiking or fishing gear easily. It also offers incredible towing power for bringing a boat on a lake trip, the release said.
