Marina-based Cardinale Automotive Group opened its Morgan Hill, California, Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) earlier this year; both the brand and the dealership have high hopes.
While all the permits for the building's construction have been secured, the approval to begin its operations prior to the start of the construction was one unique event that came along with this opportunity to open up the business in this particular location, The Morgan Hill Times reported.
"People here really care about supporting local businesses. This feels like a large small town, and there’s a good sense of community here," Morgan Hill Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram General Manager Brandon Goldstein told The Morgan Hill Times.
The dealership used provisional and makeshift facilities on a gravel lot and an off-site service center while the planned 33,000-square-foot building is set to begin construction in June and is forecast to be completed within nine to ten months. Goldstein said that this is the “only CDJR store in the country that they allowed to do this setup.”
Morgan Hill CDJR is located at 17085 Condit Road, Morgan Hill, California, next to a Ford store.
Auto dealerships are lucrative contributors to the Morgan Hill economy. The city gains 1% of the sale price of every vehicle sold in town without rebates, according to The Morgan Hill Times.
