Lake Charles Toyota in Southeastern Louisiana, home to SOWELA Technical Community College and McNeese State University and with a sizable college student population, is assisting students by offering free vehicle diagnostic tests, the dealership announced in a press release.

The free vehicle diagnostic test service aims to help students save time and money by allowing them to select which issues they would like to resolve once the dealership’s technicians identify the problems and report it to vehicles drivers. Lake Charles Toyota wants the community to know that they want to raise expectations “of what a dealership should be.

“We're more than a business, we're a family,” the business states on its website.

Other students in or near Lake Charles, including those from Louisiana State University, Lamar University, Lamar State College, Northwestern State University, Louisiana College and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette are also eligible for the free service as long as they can present a valid student ID.

Lake Charles Toyota has been in the industry for two decades and has never stopped making efforts to make a positive impact on its community.

In addition to providing diagnostic tests at no charge, the dealership helps students in other ways such as offering a $500 rebate on any new Toyota purchase or lease for qualifying recent or upcoming college graduates, according to another press release.
