Hyundai Motor America sees decrease for November sales

It was a favorable November for Hyundai Motor America despite sales of 55,171 units compared with November 2019 and retail sales that dropped by 11%.

Total sales increased by 4% and retail sales grew by 1% year over year, based on a daily selling rate with selling days reduced by three days and one less selling weekend in November this year.

Hyundai had 45,690 retail units sold in November, according to PR Newswire.

Sonata posted 8,242 units sold in November, making it the best month Hyundai model this year.

The month also revealed a retail sales increase for Palisade (+20%), Venue (+322%) and Hyundai's entire eco-friendly lineup (+18%), including Sonata Hybrid, the Ioniq family, Kona EV and Nexo.  

"We were able to maintain our industry-beating sales momentum despite quirks in the reporting calendar and added COVID-19 challenges," Randy Parker, vice president, National Sales, Hyundai Motor America, said. "We've never had a better product lineup and with the all-new Elantra hitting dealerships now and an onslaught of new SUV, performance and eco-friendly vehicles on their way, we are extremely optimistic about the future of Hyundai."
