Russ Darrow Kia of Wauwatosa General Manager Kevin Minley remembers Jim Seif, their technician who recently died.

Through a Facebook post, Jim’s impact on the store and its customers was recognized.

Minley recalls how Seif performed beyond what is expected of him especially when the Tellurides arrived. The dealership wanted to make sure that vehicles undergo a pre-delivery inspection, and Jim did it even if it was his day off.

"Jim Seif was more than an employee he was very important to the day to day operations of the dealership. There was no task to big or small that if it needed Jim would not do. He would come to the store and plow at 4 in the morning, and throughout the day," Minley wrote.

He said Seif was Santa Claus for the kids during the month of Christmas for holiday celebrations, the leprechaun in March and the one who put the jumping house up for the kids.

"He was a great technician and he inspired a younger generation of technician to learn and become the best. He went above and beyond working on the cars. When the Tellurides came in he was the only one who would PDI those SUVs because we wanted them done right. If it was his off that day and we had customers come in for a Telluride, he would come in and do it. He fixed everything at the store. He was our go-to guy," Minley wrote.
