Moyer Nissan in partnership with Randy Eshleman from State Farm Insurance Agency Inc. served first responders and the community with 1,400 chicken BBQ meals at Moyer Nissan’s make-shift drive-thru.

Physical distancing was implemented during the event. The first hour was dedicated to health care workers, police, firefighters and senior citizens. At noon, the free meals were shared with the rest of the community.

Eric Moyer, president of Moyer Auto Group, is looking forward to having a similar event at Steve Moyer Subaru in Leesport within the month.

“Our team has been working on a way to say thank you, especially to the front-line people working during the national health crisis,” said Randy Eshelman, owner of the State Farm Insurance. “I talked to Eric Moyer and he said he definitely wanted in on it and we could use his parking lot. Everything came together. It’s been just a great effort all around."
