Benton Nissan of Hoover distributed free hand sanitizers to help out in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.

The dealership ordered 4,000 bottles of spray sanitizer and gave them away starting off with first responders and health workers at 8:30 a.m. and to the public beginning at 9 a.m.

To ensure compliance to social distancing guidelines, the sanitizers were loaded in the bed of a truck so that people don’t have to leave their vehicles when getting their free bottles.

“We really wanted to step up to do something to help our community and we figured the best way to do that would be to offer a hard to find but necessary product like hand sanitizer. The goal is to keep Birmingham residents safer so that we can do what the health officials recommend and return to our normal daily lives sooner rather than later,” said Benton Auto Group owner Dale Benton in its press release.
