Car City recently launched a photo contest to encourage its Michigan community to practice social distancing to help fight the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The Wyoming, Michigan-based dealership is giving away a $500 reward each week for the next several weeks. Winners will be chosen every Friday and the first winner will be selected on April 10.
To qualify, netizens should post on Car City’s Facebook page every Thursday, their pictures -- either a solo photo or with quarantined housemates -- showing how they are creatively executing social distancing or how they are helping with the fight to stop COVID-19.
"While social distancing is a very important part of Michigan's recovery, when you're used to spending your days working it can be a struggle staying at home and having so much time on your hands", said Han Lee, marketing manager of Car City. “We want people to take social distancing seriously but have some fun with it too, and get back to 'normal' as quick as possible."
