Subaru recently earned a slew of honors from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) with Top Safety Pick+ and Top Safety Pick awards going to multiple vehicle models.

Winners of the Top Safety Pick+ awards were the Crosstrek Hybrid, Forester, Legacy and Outback – built after October 2019. The Subaru Ascent – with specific headlights, Crosstrek – with EyeSight and specific headlights, Impreza sedan and five-door – with EyeSight and specific headlights, and WRX – with EyeSight and specific headlights, were the manufacturer's winners of the Top Safety Pick awards.

Winners were recognized after earning 'Good' ratings in each of IIHS' six crashworthiness evaluations; 'Good' or 'Acceptable' headlight ratings, and available front crash prevention that earns "Advanced" or "Superior" ratings in both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations. The Top Safety Pick + winners were models that exclusively earned 'Good' or 'Acceptable' headlights.

"Subaru supports IIHS' efforts that spur the industry to achieve higher levels of vehicle safety and occupant protection," Subaru of America CEO and President Thomas J. Doll said in a press release. "We view the IIHS awards as validation for our efforts to continually innovate safety features for our customers."
