Honda's award-winning 2020 Clarity PHEV makes debut in dealerships

Kelley Blue Book’s Plug-in Hybrid Car Best Buy of 2020, the Honda Clarity PHEV, started arriving at dealerships this month.

The 2020 Clarity Plug-in has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $33,400, exclusive of $955 destination charge, tax, license, registration fees and optional features. The Clarity PHEV Touring’s MSRP is at $36,600, also exclusive of $955 destination charge and other fees.

Apart from being a class-leader among midsize plug-in hybrids, the Clarity also boasts a 47-mile range of all-electric driving with a full charge and an EPA fuel economy rating of 110 MPGe. The vehicle received a 44/40/42 MPG EPA fuel economy rating, a 340-mile EPA total driving range rating and features a drive motor that produces 181-horsepower and 232 pounds per foot of torque.

The Clarity offers a spacious interior and an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat with two-position memory and qualifies for a federal tax rebate of up to $7,500 and other state rebates, including $1,000 in California where it's also eligible for single-occupant HOV access.
