Honda recently revealed its 2020 Civic Type R at the Tokyo Auto Salon in the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex in advance of the vehicle's U.S. launch.

The 2020 model year comes with various exterior and interior styling improvements as well as performance enhancements including the addition of standard Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technology. Drivers will appreciate the new Civic's expanded grill opening that brings an improved engine cooling, plus its new two-piece front brake disc design to help produce a better brake cooling.

The Type R’s enhancements also include suspension revisions that provide occupants a more comfortable ride with its updated dampers, and improved steering feel and lower friction from its modified front suspension. Also new to 2020 Civic Type R is its Boost Blue Pearl color option.

Further information about the U.S. launch and other specifications will be available closer to its on-sale date later this winter.
