Volvo Group names Rafkin new EVP, Chief Digital Officer

Effective January 1, Scott Rafkin, the incumbent President of Volvo Financial Services, shall lead the Volvo Group as the newly appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer. Rafkin will report to Martin Lundstedt, President and CEO of Volvo Group. He will also be a member of the Executive Board.

“Scott Rafkin has a strong track record as a leader," Lundstedt said in a press release. "As the Group’s first Chief Digital Officer, he will drive our continued digital transformation. A key area with regards to both new business models and technologies, as well as our internal capabilities.”

Since 2001, Rafkin has held several top management positions with Volvo Financial Services, including four years as Chief Financial Officer and another six years as President. With this new position, he will now lead the IT Department as Chief Information Officer Olle Högblom has relinquished his former responsibilities. Högblom will remain with Volvo Group and will now focus on strategic projects.
