Subaru is named official vehicle of Killington Resort and Pico Mountain

Subaru North America and Subaru of New England (SNE) recently announced that Subaru has been named the official vehicle of Vermont’s Killington Resort and Pico Mountain, each part of the POWDR company that manages several U.S. ski and snowboard resorts.

Major details are still being discussed, according to SNE Vice President Stanley Lewicki, but the automaker has confirmed that Subaru owners will be awarded special benefits at the resorts such as VIP parking, access to Subarus and shuttles on the mountains, chances to attend special events and win prizes from giveaways.

“Killington and Pico are premiere resorts in New England, and it’s a way for us to connect with the outdoor enthusiasts and definitely connect with our Subaru owners,” Lewicki told Mega Dealer News. “What better way to tie in than to be the official vehicle of Killington Mountain Resort.”

The new partnership allows Killington to host Subaru’s annual Winterfest for the first time on Feb. 21 through Feb. 23, 2020. New England Subaru owners will get to experience an “elevated concert experience” from many well-known national artists.

“We’re just finalizing some of the bands and some of the activities, and there will be a press release for that,” Lewicki said. “There’s nothing really I can go into detail about now, but I think that once it is announced, people will be really excited to be part of the festival.”

Lewicki says that being named the official vehicle of the "Beast of the East” is a strong testimony to Subaru’s longtime commitment to providing the optimal customer experience.

“The brand itself is something that has progressed over the years, with the technology of the vehicles, the connection with the community through the 'Love Promise' activations and the commitment we have made,” Lewicki said. “We strive to be more than just a car company; we strive to give back to the local communities throughout New England. Vermont is obviously one of the states that we feel very strongly about, and we want to make sure we are connected to our Subaru owners.”

Subaru also serves a number of other POWDR resorts, including Eldora Mountain and Copper Mountain in Colorado, Snowbird and Park City in Utah, Lee Canyon in Nevada, Boreal and Soda Springs in California, and Mt. Bachelor in Oregon.
