Ram 1500, Jeep Gladiator named year's best pickup trucks by Car and Driver

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator and the 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel are the respective winners in Mid-Size Pickup and Full-Size Pickup truck categories in Car and Driver’s 10 Best awards.

“The Ram 1500 is changing the shape of American luxury,” Car and Driver wrote in a press release. "The Gladiator a convertible pickup wagon dreamed up in the vein of an 83-function swiss army knife for the road."

This is Ram’s second consecutive year to earn a spot on Car and Driver's 10 Best list, and a first for the Gladiator.

The winners for the 10 Best, formerly 10 Best Cars and Trucks, have been chosen from 93 vehicles that the editors drove and scrutinized from their base camp in Michigan. One for each of these categories has been declared the best: subcompact SUV, subcompact luxury SUV, compact SUV, compact luxury SUV, mid-size SUV, mid-size luxury SUV, large SUV, mid-size pickup, full-size pickup, and van.
