Mercedes-Benz of Naperville has earned its second consecutive certification from the J.D. Power 2019 Dealer of Excellence Program.
Being approved as a Dealer of Excellence helps car buyers gain trust in the sales team that it will be providing them with a superior customer experience.
"This certification sets us apart, especially coming from such an authority as J.D. Power," Eric Hoffman, general manager at Mercedes-Benz of Naperville, said in a press release. "In one way or another, everyone in this dealership contributes to making our customers happy, and every member of our team shares in this achievement."
J.D. Power ensures that only qualified dealerships will have the opportunity to potentially be certified by following its three-step process. Initially, it limits the percentage of eligible dealerships by nameplate based on each brand's performance in the most recent J.D. Power U.S. Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study.
More dealerships from top-performing brands will have the chance of being recognized as a Dealer of Excellence. After which, these dealerships must rank among their brand's top performers in key customer satisfaction areas consistent with measurements found in the SSI Study.
Lastly, they must pass an audit to substantiate that they meet or exceed J.D. Power sales best practices such as negotiating in an efficient and transparent manner, and offering a fair trade-in value, among others.
