New roster of Sony Electronics in-car media receivers announced

Sony Electronics Inc. has announced its latest roster of in-car media receivers consisting of the XAV-AX8000, DSX-GS900, DSX-GS80 and DSX-B700.

The XAV-AX8000 has a suggested retailed priced of $599.99. It tops the line of the four new in-car media receiver and features an 8.95-inch screen, a single-DIN rear chassis, as well as a sturdy mount which adjusts in three directions.

The double-DIN Bluetooth DSX-GS900 sells for $249.99 and has a 2-ohm load feature for users to utilize multiple speakers per channel. This Sony Music Center smartphone app can be controlled either using the smartphone or through the car audio.

The DSX-GS80 is a single-DIN version of the DSX-GS900 which also comes with Bluetooth dual-phone connection, plus legacy premium functions like Time Alignment and 5V 3 pre-out. It has a suggested retail price of $229.99.

At a sales price of of $129.99, the DSX-B700 media receiver is SiriusXM Radio ready and is also compatible with Pandora through the customer’s iPhone or Android device.

All but one is available by December. The DSX-B700 will be available in September.
