DARCARS CEO John Darvish, Redskins coach promote charity football clinic on Fox 5

DARCARS Automotive Group is once again partnering with the Washington Redskins to sponsor the Dreams For Kids Football Clinic. This year's event takes place Sunday, July 21, at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia, beginning at 1 p.m.

The event brings Washington Redskins players together with 100 kids with physical and developmental disabilities for a day of on-field activities. The event is part of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation initiative to impact the lives of children in need, according to a press release.

Former Redskins player Kyshoen Jarrett, whose career was cut short by injury and who now works for the team as its Defensive Quality Control Coach, will lead the event and speak to participants about his own experiences growing up with a brother with a developmental disability.

For DARCARS, this will be the company's third year sponsoring the event.

“For the past three years, the DARCARS family has proudly sponsored Dreams For Kids DC sports clinics, which have an amazing impact on the lives of children working to overcome physical and developmental disabilities,” DARCARS CEO John Darvish said in a press release. "We are excited to continue that partnership this year by sponsoring the Dreams For Kids DC Football clinic with the Washington Redskins and I am personally looking forward to volunteering at this fantastic event.”

Darvish and Jarrett appeared on Fox 5 earlier this week to promote the event and Jarrett highlighted just how much it means to him to be a part of it.

"Just being able to see the smiles on the kids' faces, and all the parents' faces, I mean it brings so much joy," Jarrett told Fox 5.

Darvish expressed a similar sentiment.

"When you go out there and you see the smiles, the energy on the kids and the parents, it's very powerful," Darvish said.
