Toyota dealer John Staluppi recently acquired a 2020 GR Supra, the “Global #1” fifth-generation Supra for $2.1 million in January at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Being the first 2020 GR Supra to roll off the production line, “Global #1” will be the only GR Supra that will have a VIN that will end in 20201, wherein “2020” represents the year the Supra was reintroduced and “1” to mark it as the first 2020 GR Supra. Its exterior is factory-finished with a matte gray exterior, complemented by matte black wheels and red mirror caps while its red interior is highlighted with carbon-fiber inserts.
Staluppi also received a Toyota racing suit and a signed photo from Akio Toyoda, Toyota Motor Corporation’s President. Toyoda signed the “#1” Supra’s engine cover to celebrate the first Supra produced in 20 years.
Auction proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association and the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
