Kavanagh starts new career at TBWAWorldwide

Scott Kavanagh joins TBWAWorldwide as managing director of Nissan United U.S. Effective immediately, he will be reporting to Nissan United president and TBWA's president of global clients Jon Castle, and TBWAChiatDay NY CEO Rob Schwartz.

Kavanagh will primarily spearhead Nissan United in the U.S. The role includes marketing, advertising, and media adviser and counsel to Nissan management. As such, he is expected to drive Nissan's business outcomes, and the integration, governance, and innovation of Nissan United.

"The auto business is going through a period of massive change, and not only do we need new agency models to help brands like Nissan capitalize on this change, we need next-generation leaders like Scott Kavanagh to lead it," said Castle. Prior to joining TBWA, Kavanagh held various leadership roles in WPP's dedicated Ford agency GTB in which he recently held the global chief of staff and global chief talent officer post for two years. Among other positions he held in his nearly two decades with WPP were: president of the GTB Canada business, EVP, global managing director for WPP's Hudson Rouge, and SVP/communications director, TeamDetroit. Kavanagh first step his foot in WPP in 2000 as VP, northeast managing director for JWT in Boston, where he held the position for six years.
