Hyundai's first NEXO fuel cell SUV is delivered to U.S. market

Hyundai has delivered its first NEXO fuel cell SUV to the American market, with Keyes Hyundai in Van Nuys, California accepting delivery of this breakthrough vehicle.

A former scientist and chemist, Todd Hochrad of Ventura, California, picked up his brand new 2019 NEXO Fuel Cell SUV at Keyes Hyundai. He is the first U.S. customer to drive off in the new NEXO SUV. 

More than 15 years ago, Hochrad bought his first hybrid car and has driven electric vehicles over the years. NEXO, which is the new technological flagship of Hyundai’s growing eco-vehicle portfolio. With a range up to 380 miles, it will deliver about five times the driving range of Hochrad’s first all-electric car.

The 2019 Hyundai NEXO is the only mass-produced, fuel-cell SUV for the U.S. market.

NEXO can be leased for $449 (Limited model) or $399 (Blue model) for 36 months or it can be purchased for $58,300.
