Bill Lia Jr. and The Lia Group of Companies were honored during the recent 22nd Annual One Hope ball for their contributions in fighting diabetes.
Through the years, Lia has worked with different committees to extend The Lia Group’s assistance and engagement with numerous charitable institutions by creating awareness and lending a helping hand to raise financial support for their causes.
One of these organizations is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), which hosted the black-tie event in Albany.
Lia is a member of the Board of Directors for the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce. He is also an Arthur R. Kapner Spirit of the Chamber Award Winner and was named “Man of the Year” in 2015 for the Upstate Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
