Phil McKoy joins TrueCar’s Board of Directors

TrueCar, a digital automotive marketplace, has appointed Phil McKoy, UnitedHealthcare’s chief information officer, to its board of directors.

“We are excited for Phil to join TrueCar’s Board of Directors and look forward to his contributions,” TrueCar President and CEO Chip Perry said. “His extensive background and expertise in technology and innovation will be an asset to our board as we continue to transform our business and revolutionize the car-buying experience."

As UnitedHealthcare’s CIO, he led its strategic technology initiatives and the associated capital investments that support numerous lines of business and UnitedHealthcare’s digital strategy and platform. Prior to UnitedHealthcare, McKoy was a CIO at Amia for its Global Loyalty Services division. Phil was also a part of Target Corp., where he functioned in different digital and information technology leadership roles and was responsible for the creation and launch of the Target.com eCommerce platform and improving the end-to-end guest experience for in-store digital experiences and Target mobile platforms.
