Kelly Blue Book has named the Ford Expedition the Full-Size SUV Best Buy of 2019.

Its towing capacity of 9,300 pounds, best-in-class fuel economy, and 400 horsepower are some of the reasons why the new Expedition received the award. The 2019 Expedition comes standard with a 3.5-liter, twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 that offers 400 horsepower and 480 lb.-ft. of torque. According to KBB, it is the first full-size SUV that doesn’t offer eight cylinders under the hood.

With its combined rating of 18 mg (EPA estimates of 16 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway), fueleconomy.gov says it nets around 2 mpg more than its competitors.  Adding to this fuel-saver feature is its available part-time four-wheel drive. This capability allows the four-wheel drive to engage when off-road and the rear-wheel drive to be used in other instances.

“The Best Buy Awards were designed to help consumers shop with confidence by doing the heavy lifting for them and providing clear guidance on which specific car, truck, minivan, and SUV models they should be prioritizing and considering for their next new-car purchase," Karl Brauer, executive publisher for Kelley Blue Book said.
