The new Wrangler JL Rubicon is your usual Wrangler, but with added features and improvements. Unlike the Wrangler JK, the JL Rubicon is slightly longer and wider. It also has two engine choices -- a 3.6L V6 gas and the new 2.0L Turbo eTorque.

The Wrangler JL Rubicon is also available in six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions. You can also choose among Sunrider canvas top, Freedom hard top, and Sky One-Touch Power Top options. It has an improved crawl ratio, Tru-Lock electric front- and rear-axle lockers, Rock-Trac 4x4 system with Dana 44 axles, electronic sway bar disconnect, Trac-Lok limited slip differential, and 33-inch off-road tires.

Next year, it is said there will be a 3.0L EcoDiesel option that will be available, but there’s no confirmation up to this point.

The Wrangler JL Rubicon also has a unique seven-bar grille, where the two bars on either end conform to the shape of the headlamps. In addition, some drivers commented that driving the Wrangler JL Rubicon is like driving a car than a small truck.

It comes in bright Punk’n Orange, but other color options are available such as Granite Crystal Metallic, Billet Silver Metallic, and Ocean Blue Metallic, to name a few. It also comes with a touchscreen, fourth-generation Uconnect, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto for easier connectivity.
