2018 Ted Williams MVP Alex Bregman of the Houston Astros was given the opportunity to choose a new Chevrolet vehicle as part of his recognition.

The ceremony was held at National Park in Washington, D.C. this month and hosted by Chevrolet. Between the new 2019 Chevrolet Camaro SS and Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, he chose the former.

“Bregman set a great example for baseball fans and especially our kids by hustling hard for the entire game and demonstrating exceptional teamwork… that is why Chevrolet is proud to present the MVP award,” Chevrolet’s U.S. Vice President Brian Sweeney. He added that Chevrolet “appreciate the positive effect that playing sports has on our kids, and that is why it is so important for our brand and our dealers to support baseball at every level.”

Chevrolet has been Major League Baseball’s official vehicle and official partner of Play Ball since 2005. Moreover, the Chevrolet Youth Baseball program has already donated more than 150,000 equipment kits, raised more than $36 million, and sponsored more than 1,800 free skills clinics. As a result, more than 7 million boys and girls across the country responded to these efforts and are on the way to becoming better athletes.
