Springtime means rain time as well. It is important to practice safe driving, as we all know the potential dangers of driving on wet roads -- statistics reveal that around a million vehicular accidents recorded annually are due to rain.

Carbone Automotive Group wants their customers to be safe at all times. While driving in rainy weather, you should consider the following tips.

First, make sure that your windshield wipers don’t streak, and that they can wipe away any liquid in a single swipe.

Also, make sure your lights are properly functioning so you can easily see the road, even if it’s raining hard. (Your headlights should always be turned on while driving in the rain.)

Avoid tailgating cars to avoid accidents, and get the right tires for the right weather in your area.

Skidding may be inevitable. When it happens, steer in the direction of the skid and gently tap -- don't slam -- the brakes.
