Criswell Auto: A big Maryland auto chain with a big heart

Boasting a large commercial inventory and pre-owned department, Maryland's Criswell Auto works to stay involved in the communities that it serves.

“We're a family-owned and operated dealer group serving the community and giving back,” Neil Kopit, Criswell’s director of Marketing, told Mega Dealer News recently.

Some of the work that Criswell Auto does in the community revolves around health and safety for residents. For instance, Criswell’s participating dealerships help with child safety seat installation and car seat checks every month. Families can use an online appointment setting tool to schedule a car seat check.

Criswell Auto also is an underwriter for Criswell Field at Kelly Park in Gaithersburg, a local minor league and college baseball field.

“We’re a major contributor for building and maintaining the field,” Kopit said.

The dealership also puts on a Corvette raffle every year, which raises $100,000 for cancer patients.  For 2018, Criswell plans to raffle off a 2017 Stingray at the Great Frederick Fair on September 22. WFRE Radio will be covering the fourth annual Patty Pollatos Fund raffle event live.

“We also do dozens of charity golf event hole-in-ones,” Kopit said.

All of this underscores the real presence that Criswell Auto has around the state.

Shoppers can use the web to look for one of the chain’s many individual locations where they can find service reviews and additional information about the long-term relationships that Criswell Auto has built with customers and their communities.
