As Ram unveiled its 2019 1500 trucks at the 2018 North American International Auto Show, performance and comfort were the top two words to describe Ram's modernized new truck.

The new truck has been updated to offer style, yet tough durability, and boasts the combination of best-in-class V8 towing along with luxury.

"Ram 1500's all new design reveals eye catching details everywhere you look," Jeep & Ram Brands head Michael Manley told the audience as he introduced the trucks at the auto show. "Although completely modernized, it's clear that it still speaks to our big rig heritage. This truck remains the only 1500 to offer Ram Box, lockable external storage which is accessible and therefore useful even with a full load."

The new 2019 1500 Ram trucks offer raised bedsides to allow for a 10 percent increase in cargo capacity, according to Manley. Interior features include over 150 liters of interior storage volume; a U-Connect system on a 12-inch configurable screen; and a 900-watt Harmon Kardon audio system with 19 speakers.

Ram's new 1500 also offers fuel economy with at least a 10 percent improvement in miles per gallon ratings with a 3.6 V6, 305 horse power, eight-speed transmission.

"This 1500 is the most technologically advanced truck we have ever built," Manley said.
