Kid’s Play Center Authority, a division of Synergy Management, operates by the motto “Your best salesperson can’t compete with an active toddler.”

The company works with hundreds of dealerships to keep children calm and quiet through commercially designed kids play area activity products.

“We provide play areas allowing the salesman and the customer to get through the whole sales process from looking at the car, testing it all the way through the payment process,” Madalyn Shear with the Kid’s Play Center told Mega Dealer News.

Shear said the company aims to make every dealership family-friendly. Dealerships can choose from small, medium and large play areas featuring wall and floor activities intended to entertain children from 1 to 12 years old. Activities include activity block tables, play cubes, maze tables, and wall panels consisting of things such as vehicles and a steering wall.

A testimonial from Robert Green, vice president of Robert Green Chevrolet-Oldsmobile, said the building block activity table helped increase sales by two or three units per month.

“Previously bored children were a distraction to their parents,” Green wrote in a letter. “Now, customers with children can focus much better on purchasing a vehicle while their children are playing at the table. Also, the customers are much more relaxed knowing that their children are playing in a safe and controlled environment.”

Shear told Mega Dealer News the auto industry is dictating and mandating car dealerships install play areas.

“It is repeat business, it is safety, and is great customer service,” Shear said.
