Flat tires never happen at a convenient time. However, changing your tire does not have to be a complicated process. 

Here are simple steps to guide you in changing your flat tire.

The first thing you need to do is ensure your safety as well as that of other drivers by making sure that the vehicle is off the road. You do need it to be on a flat surface, though. 

Next, you need to loosen the nuts on the tire using a lug wrench and then jack the car to raise the tire off the ground. Use the lug wrench to remove all the lug nuts. Remove the tire and set it aside. 

You then need to line up the spare tire with the wheel bolts and push it into place. Put the lug nuts onto the bolts and tighten them by hand first and then by wrench. The tire needs to meet the hub. 

Finally, lower the car to the ground and tighten the lug nuts.
