2018 GMC Sierra comes with new entertainment, safety features

The 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup shows minor changes from previous models while offering new entertainment and safety systems.

Fremont Motors said the new Sierra 1500 includes a “Tire Fill Alert” system that notifies the driver when the proper pressure has been reached while inflating a tire.

The truck also features a 7-inch color touchscreen radio, back up cameras, an upgrade from four to six speakers with an option for a Brembo performance brake kit. GMC replaced two Sierra 1500 colors -- crimson red and pepperdust -- with new shades called deep mahogany metallic and red quartz tintcoat.

The new Sierra comes in trim variants such as Sierra, Elevation Edition (Sierra), SLE, Elevation Edition (SLE), SLT, All Terrain and Denali. GMC also offers the truck in heavy duty versions called Sierra, SLE, SLT and Denali.

The 2018 Sierra can also be bought in all-terrain packages, including the All Terrain X package that can be added to an SLT and the All Terrain HD package that includes the most new features.
