The 2018 version of the Mazda6 has been completely redesigned, according to Continental Mazda of Naperville.

The latest Mazda6 will have new powertrain technology, premium trim levels and the Mazda radar cruise control system. The SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter engine will offer up to 250 horsepower and can drop to two-cylinder operation at times to increase fuel efficiency.

The redesign aims for elegance while keeping the vehicle as comfortable and spacious as ever. Sen wood from Japan -- typically used for furniture and musical instruments -- is used on some elements.

The radar cruise control system adjusts the vehicle's speed based on the car ahead, readjusting as needed. The 360-degree view monitor comes in handy when parking.

The 2018 model will be available this coming spring at at Continental Mazda of Naperville and other Mazda dealerships around the country.
