Steve Landers Auto Group discusses mid-engine cars on a recent blog post; in particular, a mid-engine Chevy Corvette.

A mid-engine Corvette has been rumored for years, according to the auto group. Mid-engine cars are vehicles with the engine mounted between both axles, instead of up front. A mid-engine position offers better traction and stability and fast acceleration. Ferraris and Lamborghinis have mid-engine placement. Approximately 98 percent of all cars on the road are front-engine vehicles.

Steve Landers Auto Group expects a 2019 C8 Corvette to be a mid-engine car, which will be the biggest change for the vehicle in decades. Possibilities are wide open for performance and speed as dealerships wait for the official unveiling of the new vehicle.

Steve Landers Auto Group will share more information and details as specs and images become available.
