Fremont Motors Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM in Casper, Wyoming, is hosting a food drive through Nov. 22, and challenging donors to stop by its showroom and fill the bed of a Ram 2500 with items to help the needy.
One in seven people in Wyoming is struggling with hunger, according to Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies, the only food bank in the state, a posting on the Fremont Motors website said. Many of the hungry are children. The food bank provides food for food pantries and other hunger-relief programs.
Fremont Motors said in the posting it wants the drive to fill a Ram 2500 truck with such food items as peanut butter, canned fruits and veggies, canned tuna, macaroni and cheese kits, rice and healthy snacks. All items should be canned or boxed or otherwise not require refrigeration. All donations will help the hungry in Natrona County.
