Ford Motor Company Fund continues assistance for hurricane, earthquake relief efforts

The Ford Motor Company Fund is offering financial support for relief efforts in Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Mexico after a series of natural disasters in those areas, according to a post on the Sam Leman Automotive Group website.

The Ford fund is donating $100,000 to nonprofit agencies in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, plus another $100,00 from regional Ford dealerships, to help the areas recover from Hurricane Maria, the posting said

The Ford fund also will donate $200,000 to the United Way in Mexico (Fondo Unido Mexico) and match employee donations of up to $50,000 for the Mexico Earthquake Relief Fund, the posting said. The Ford Mexico & Dealers Civic Committee is also offering $200,000 to aid United Way Mexico and help rebuild Ford Schools, the posting said.

The posting said that Ford fund continues to match contributions made to the American Red Cross for recovery efforts, and so far, donations from the Ford Fund, dealerships and employees have reached nearly $1 million.
