Fremont Motors offers suggestions for powerful SUVs

Fremont Motors offers suggestions for drivers that need an SUV but still want a fast, powerful vehicle in a recent blog post.

Options for performance SUVs include the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with 707 horsepower; the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT with 475 horsepower;  the Dodge Durango SRT with 475 horsepower; or the Ford Explorer Sport with 365 horsepower, the posting said.

The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT has a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine that can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds. The lowered ride height results in better handling, and the SRT features an options to match the suspension to such conditions as towing, driving in snow or just everyday driving, the posting said.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk can go from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds, faster than a Hellcat, the posting said, and athe Dodge Durango SRT offers best-in-class towing capacity at 8,600 pounds.

The Ford Explorer Sport and Platinum trim levels have a 3.5-liter V-6 Ecoboost engine with independent front and rear suspension and six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
