Steve Landers Auto Group speculates on changes to Ram 1500

Steve Landers Auto Group digs into a question that Ram truck drivers have pondered for a while: When will the Ram 1500 go through some major updates?

The Landers team researched plans for the 2019 model and so far, it looks like big changes are in store, a posting on the Steve Landers Auto Group website said. The 2019 model should go into production in early 2018.

Photos show that the 2019 Ram 1500 cab could be a lot larger than the cab from previous years. The large cab photo could also mean that Mega Cab is an option for future 1500-series Rams.

The Steve Landers team also anticipates lighter-weight materials being used to help increase fuel economy. There may also be a shorter grille, which will make the truck more aerodynamic. A split tailgate may also be a new option that could be exciting, especially for hauling awkward payloads.

The Ram will also be updated with the new UConnect infotainment system and a fresh cab redesign, the posting said.
