BMW revamps i3 electric car to make it more sporty

BMW is making its i3 electric car more sporty to enhance its desirability, according to an article posted on the Bloomberg website.

The revamped i3 has a more elongated front end, with a smoothed back end. In November, a new sporty version being released will be able to exceed 100 miles per hour, BMW said in the posting.

BMW also plans to offer an electric X3 SUV and Mini within the next several years to keep up with other auto makers, the posting said.

The newest i3 will have an available driver-assistance system with features such as adaptive cruise control. The car has approximately 100 miles range per charge, or 180 miles per charge with a range extender, the posting said.
