Car rental company DriveShare by Hagerty (DriveShare.com) is out to make it easier to hit the road in a classic or high-end automobile, an article posted on the Bloomberg website said.

DriveShare.com, which had been known as Classics & Exotics, was recently bought by insurance company Hagerty and re-branded. Classics & Exotics co-founder Peter Zawadzki will stay aboard as director of DriveShare.com, the article said.

The DriveShare.com service doesn't own the cars – the cars have private owners around the country. Prices vary greatly, such as a 1997 Porsche Boxster with a day-rental price of $99 to the $3,300 per day rental for a 2015 Lamborghini Aventador, the article said. Hagerty provides insurance and roadside assistance, but service fees and security deposits can be expected as well.

So far, DriveShare.com has a pool of 139 vehicles which includea a 1931 Ford Model A, a souped-up 1927 Model T and a DeLorean.
