Stokes Volkswagen delves into updates for 2018 Tiguan

Stokes Volkswagen, based in North Charleston, South Carolina, said the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan features many new updates.

First off, the 2018 Tiguan has an improved powertrain, a longer wheelbase and more features than previous models, Stokes Volkswagen said in a release.

The 2018 model is more than 10 inches longerr than the 2017 version and has 57 percent more cargo space and increased interior room, allowing for optional third-row seats. All 2016 models will have patterned cloth seats and a new Volkswagen Digital Cockpit display that allows the driver to reconfigure how key data shows up on the screen.

New driver assistance features are also available, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, emergency braking, pedestrian monitoring and blind-spot monitoring, as well as lane departure warnings and a rear traffic alert.

Since a third-row seat is an option now, the second-row bench seat can slide forward and backward to accommodate appropriate leg room for the third-row passengers. The third row of seats will be a standard feature on front-wheel-drive Tiguans and an option on all-wheel-drive versions.
