The Toyota Prius Prime has been named the 2017 World Green Car at the New York International Auto Show recently, Wondries Toyota said on its blog.
The Prius Prime plug-in hybrid has a larger battery than a standard Prius and offers excellent mileage.
The Prius Prime edged out 11 global vehicles nominated for the award. International automotive journalists selected the Prius Prime after studying the features and benefits of each vehicle. The Prime won for reasons such as low fuel consumption and advanced power plant technology, the post said.
