Michelin Group claims top automotive industry spot on best employers list

Michelin Group said it is rated by Forbes magazine among this year' “America’s Best Employers.”

Michelin Group said in a release that it took top honors in the automotive industry category and 34th out of the top 500 large employers.

"At Michelin, we strive to put people first – our own employees and the people who use our products and services," David Stafford, chief human resources officer for Michelin North America said in the release. "We're guided by our company values and our purpose – to give people a better way forward. Our employees are deeply committed to that purpose, and I believe that's why they're so determined to make great tires and deliver great services that improve mobility for everyone."

Forbes, in conjunction with statistics company Statista, asked more than 30,000 workers at large companies how likely the chances were that they would recommend their employer to another person as well as how they felt about other employers in their respective field. Large companies are designated as those with at least 5,000 employees. Survey participants were consulted anonymously.
