Dave Smith Motors shows off new 2017 Chevy Malibu

Dave Smith Motors of Kellogg, Idaho, previewed some of the new features and options available on the 2017 Chevy Malibu in a recent blog posting.

A 1.5-liter turbo engine with six-speed automatic transmission is standard on the L, LS and LT models, while a 2.0-liter engine and nine-speed automatic transmission is standard for the Premier model, the posting said.

The Malibu also is available in a hybrid model, the posting said. 

LED daytime running lamps are standard features for the LT, Hybrid and Premier models, and the Premier also has LED tail lamps.

Chevrolet MyLink with a 7-inch-diagonal color touchscreen is standard on the LS, LT and Hybrid and an 8-inch screen is available on the LT, Hybrid and Premier models.

The LS, LT, Hybrid and Premier models offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone projection compatibility.

A teen driver feature on LS, LT, Hybrid and Premier models allows adults to set controls and monitor driving habits of teens.

Two rear-seat USB ports and a power outlet are available as options for LT and Hybrid models, while standard for the Premier.

Heated leather-trimmed front seats are available for LT and Hybrid models and are standard on Premier models, and a power sunroof is available for LT, Hybrid and Premier models.
